Eco-conscious Coffins

Our eco-conscious coffins range from pine to cardboard and wool. All suitable for natural burial.

Biodegradable Scatter Tubes

Woven ashes tube, made from willow. Suitable for the scattering or interment of ashes, these biodegradable tubes contain a cotton bag to hold the ashes safely inside, and a cotton presentation bag to keep the tube protected.

Locally Grown Flowers

Our florist is based in Masham and uses locally grown, seasonal flowers. No plastic is used within her arrangements, all of which are completely compostable.

Biodegradable Urns

Bios Urn is the world's first biodegradable urn designed to convert you into a tree after life. The tree urn is a return to life through nature - a beautiful way to continue life through loss.

For the greener good

For every funeral arranged at Farewells, a tree will be planted to help off set our carbon footprint. Given our location in the stunning Yorkshire Dales, planting more trees will absorb CO2 and help restore biodiversity.
